Slavic Outreach Ministries is dedicated to both domestic and foreign mission activities such as relief aid, financial support, and Biblical instruction with Slavic individuals, communities and churches. The Lord spoke to Liz back in 1989 these words of commissioning when meeting the very first Slavic immigrants who had just landed on Seattle’s shores: “Their Christian faith has cost them everything; yours has cost you nothing—you are in debt to my Slavic people; serve them for Me.” Slavic Outreach Ministries actually began then, although the non-profit ministry was not incorporated with Washington State until October, 2005; in April, 2007 SOM received a tax-expempt, charitable 501(c)(3) corporation status with the Internal Revenue Service.
